There are a great deal of "perks",if you will, to being a college student. Sure, the college life offers great freedom with relatively limited responsibility, numerous social outlets, and not to mention prepares you for the future. But, the college life is quite pricey. In fact, it is down right expensive.
Students here at Southern Miss have experienced the costliness of the college life. This semester, the dollar signs went up concerning a highly important student commodity, parking places. Student parking decals soared this semester to $135, well above any past semester in school history, as the school experiences financial difficulty in tough economic times. It is a bit frustrating for students to have to pay 135 dollars for a sticker just to park. However, as students we must support our school and hope that better economic times and lower priced parking decals await us in future semesters.
